WHO ATTENDS OUR WORKSHOPS?

NOVICE PHD STUDENTS

Just having started their PhD project, they know what subject to study, but have little academic research and publishing experience. They need to be aware of and acquire the skills that will make them finish their project successfully. They are also interested in designing research projects to improve the rigor of their work, and in the basics of academic publishing.

ADVANCED PHD STUDENTS

They have already written a working paper, which is accepted at a conference and may be published in the conference proceedings. Besides training in converting their research into papers and the basics of academic publishing, they appreciate evaluation of their own writing.

JUNIOR FACULTY & POST-DOCS

They have their PhD and are moving into the next stage of their academic career, either aiming at tenure or laying the foundation for a tenure track position. The basics of academic publishing are a quick refreshment, they are keen on getting a critical evaluation of their own work and increasing their understanding of the review process. They are also interested in writing effective grant applications.

SENIOR FACULTY

They often have tenure and a publication record of several papers in both conference proceedings and academic journals. They now aim at further improving their track record both in terms of quantity and quality. They are interested in getting personalized advice on how to improve their writing and supervision activities. Training in developing successful grant applications is also appreciated.
